About Us

Career Summary

Monita Ireland brings over 30 years of architectural experience to LANE4’s development team. With a wide breadth of project experience and a vast number of successful projects, her expertise adds considerable value to multiple facets of the company. After beginning her career at the University of Houston AEC Department, Monita founded a full service architecture firm in Dallas, TX and upon moving to Leawood, KS in 1997, she found a niche in architectural consulting and management services where she thrived for over 15 years. Most recently, Monita served as University Architect and Assistant Director at the University of Kansas Medical Center Projects and Planning Department. Her portfolio of major projects spans the Midwest region and beyond, and includes several university, medical center and community -focused projects. Among the projects she served: The Nelson-Atkins Museum Expansion, Stowers Cancer Research Institute, multiple University of Houston expansion projects, the Las Vegas Convention Center, various VA hospitals, University of Texas Nursing School LEED Platinum Certified Building, and others. While at KU Medical Center, Monita led the development of the $82 million Health Education Building. The massive expansion project totaled 170,000 SF and included simulation labs, clinical labs, classrooms, and additional spaces designed to allow students a fully-immersive experience in state of the art medical education. The project was completed on time and under budget, and now stands as an iconic building in the heart of the ever-expanding University of Kansas Medical Center campus.

After working with LANE4 Property Group executives on projects and iniatives in the Kansas City, KS area, Monita decided to follow a long time interest in real estate development by joining LANE4 as a project manager. In her role, Monita manages a full portfolio of LANE4’s current development and redevelopment projects, as well as assists in construction related tenant activities at existing properties.
