The New York Times reports on the extraordinary success of professional soccer in Kansas City. LANE4 is proud to have represented Sporting KC’s ownership group in the site selection and government entitlements for their new stadium. Attendance at Sporting KC games is at an all-time high, and Kansas City has become known as a major US hub for soccer fans. The development of Sporting Park as Sporting KC’s new home has been a large part of what the Major League Soccer Commissioner calls “one of the greatest sports turnarounds in the history of soccer in America.” The new Stadium hosted the MLS All-Star Game on July 31, 2013 to a full capacity crowd.
