KANSAS CITY, MO (January 17, 2024) – Red Bridge Shopping Center is excited to share project renderings for its new grocer, Red Bridge Farm Fresh Market. Construction for exterior upgrades is set to commence in the next few weeks with the store opening late Spring to early Summer 2024. The store will occupy the former 35,000 SF Sun Fresh and undergo significant façade and interior improvements. Farm Fresh Market will introduce a new, local concept centered around providing quality produce at competitive prices, featuring a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafood.

“Grocery stores are often the heartbeat of a community and since purchasing the center in 2015 we’ve prioritized having a quality grocer at the center,” Brandon Buckley, LANE4 Partner said. “We feel we found the perfect fit for Red Bridge, and one that will serve the community for years to come.”

Farm Fresh Market will feature a diverse array of produce, full-service deli, fresh bakery, liquor section, and specialty Fruitopia (fruit-flavored drink) counter. Although Farm Fresh Market is a new concept for the operator, they have a collective experience of over 50 years in retail, and over 25 years in the grocery industry.

“We consistently compete with the big names by providing better selections at better prices,” Moe Muslet, Farm Fresh Market Manager said. “We’re excited to launch this new store concept in a neighborhood as strong as Red Bridge.”

Farm Fresh Market will be the operator’s sixth Kansas City location. The store is anticipated to create more than 80 new jobs at an average wage of $15/hour.

Farm Fresh Market will undergo significant exterior and interior renovations including façade upgrades, parking lot improvements, enhanced landscaping, a roof replacement, new refrigeration systems, flooring and increased ceiling heights within the space. The new storefront will mirror the architectural aesthetics and ambiance of the shopping center, complete with a relaxing patio for shoppers. Demolition is currently underway with construction commencing later this month.

“The process of securing a new, quality grocer at Red Bridge would not have been possible without the City’s support,” Buckley said.

Red Bridge ownership gives credit to Andrea Bough, 6th District at-large Council Member, Mayor Quinton Lucas and City staff for their collaboration and swiftness in moving this project by providing a tax redirection which allowed the operator to offset significant equipment upgrades.

In welcoming Red Bridge Farm Fresh Market, LANE4 Property Group (Developer, Leasing, and Management) and the Red Bridge Shopping Center ownership group continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting local businesses by providing a thriving community hub for business owners, residents, and visitors.

Two new local businesses opened at Red Bridge in December 2023 including Berries + Honey Charcuterie and Limit Pub & Grub. Red Bridge is home to over 80% locally owned businesses including Wonderscope Children’s Museum, Euston Hardware, Made in KC, Barrio, Crows Coffee, and Caleb’s Breakfast & Lunch.
