When we examined the neighborhoods in South Kansas City, it was clear the community deserved a destination for shopping, dining, and socializing. The once shattered Red Bridge Shopping Center was the clear choice for that destination. Inspired by the successful transformation of our Corinth Square project, LANE4 acquired the center with 40% occupancy and embarked on a signification renovation. Completed in 2017, the redevelopment featured a refined, coastal-inspired architectural style that honored and enhanced Red Bridge’s historic character.

Decades before the redevelopment, Red Bridge had served as the neighborhood’s central hub, so it was crucial to bring community and City engagement into the transformation. Today the center is flourishing with over 80% locally owned business and service providers, including a state-of-the-art children’s museum, and recently renovated grocery store. Just one minute from I-435 and two minutes from Kansas, Red Bridge boasts outstanding proximity to pivotal neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and many of Kansas City’s largest employers.
