Owen founded LANE4 Property Group in 2006, uniting a group of commercial real estate veterans who wanted to work differently. LANE4 quickly emerged as one of the industry’s most recognizable firms in the Midwest specializing in brokerage, management, and development. Since its origination, LANE4 has completed over $1 billion in developments and acquisitions. Owen’s standards of excellence, and commitment to integrity and value creation continues to drive LANE4’s success today. With his four-decade tenure, he is regarded as one of the foremost authorities throughout the Midwest in the commercial real estate industry.
Owen began his career in the industry in 1985 and throughout his career, has led the procurement of over 9 million SF in an eight-state region for tenant representation clients including Walmart, Kohl’s, Petco, Best Buy, and many other local and regional businesses. He has been the visionary and driving force in transformative developments throughout Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska; in Kansas City, some of his most notable include 39Rainbow, Sporting Kansas City Soccer Stadium, and the redevelopment of Red Bridge Shopping Center, Metcalf South Mall, Corinth Square, and the Shops of Prairie Village. Several of Owen’s projects have garnered national and local acclaim, including the Wall Street Journal.
Today, Owen focuses his time on identifying real estate investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and mentoring real estate professionals within LANE4 and the greater Kansas City area.
